Zenith is a video installation done in collaboration with Artemio. For this piece, produced in Peru, the artists retrace the emblematic Nazca hummingbird, but with cocaine lines.
17 grams were used in order to draw the hummingbird on top of a black table. An all night party was then organized in which the 17 grams got sniffed until nothing was left. The whole action was recorded in video from a zenithal angle.
For the video installation, a video projector replaces the zenithal position of the camera and the same black table becomes the projection surface. The video was sped up to a 6 minute loop which plays in reverse.
